...that have used Christian matchmaking agencies ?
Anyone meet a spouse as a result ?
Any negative experiences ?
Thanks in advance for all polite, sincere replies.
May God bless you.
Christians, any testimonies regarding yourself or believers you know...?
I met my husband at www.fusion101.com. We lived a thousand miles apart so it was a long-distance relationship as well. We had both given our lives to the Lord and prayed for a mate before we met, and we knew this was His answer. My husband proposed to me before we had even met in person. We spent a total of 3 weeks together in person before the wedding. More than a year later we're still going strong in Christ. I wouldn't change our story for anything!
Edit: I'm choosing to ignore that as I'm typing this he's in the next room singing "beans, beans, the magical fruit"...
Reply:YES! And a very negative experience came of it. Please e mail me if you would like to know the story....not the agencies fault though-- but people can be VERY deceiving on those websites.
(This did not have to do with me, but someone in my family)
Reply:I met my partner on a gay community message board! We have been together 6 months! WE love each other very much!
Reply:Not officially a Christian agency. But I do believe God brought my husband and me together. He's from California and we met on AOL. He wasn't a Christian then. But almost from the beginning I knew he was the one. I told him I planned on keeping my faith and he could keep his. He didn't plan on converting and I was ok with that. I did ask him to come to church with me after he moved out here. He agreed, and liked it so much he was baptized into Christ a couple weeks before our wedding, a year after we met. We've been married for over nine years...and counting!
Reply:Nope, my "matchmaking" agency was God, and God alone, after prayer. Now married for 8 years and getting better every day...
Personally I believe God has a special someone he is preparing for us and preparing us for them. Prayer, and patience and trust in the Lord will bring those 2 together. Remember what's man made is "man made" not necessarely from God... I made mistakes, and when I finally let GOD, He delivered!
God bless you
Reply:Met my wife in church
