I got an xbox for Christmas and i only have a memory card.A few days ago i created an xbox live account and it worked fine.But the next morning I tried to play and on Halo 3 it says "Matchmaking requires an Xbox Live Membership with permission to play multiplayer over Live." I have silver membership and the marketplace works.I created another account and it did not work either.Any suggestion??

You might have to get gold membership to access multiplayer features.
Reply:well I don't know what you get for a silver account but, I have a gold membership. So if you want it to work for two players you have to go to your family settings and allow it to let you access it.

How do I play online on Halo 3?
I just got halo 3 and i want to play it online. I already have xbox live. I just don't know how to get it started/get in a lobby/etc. on the halo 3 main menu there is start solo game, campaign, matchmaking, custom games, forge, and theater. there is nothing that says xbox live like most other games do. i just want to play halo 3 on xbox live with a bunch of people.

Good ol' Matchmaking. It will allow you to choose what mode you want. (Lone Wolves, TS, Big Team and so on)...then start search....easy as that
It takes a minute. Just let it do its thing after you select start matchmaking :-)

okay, so when i go on halo 3, I can talk through the mic in the matchmaking lobby and people can hear me fine. I am am able to hear them talk back to me in the mic also. But when im in a game there is some sort of icon next to the voice icon thing in the bottom right corner. In the games I can hear people through my mic but i cant talk. HELP ME!!!

XBOX Live wireless NAT?
Does anyone know how to switch my wireless NAT to "Open" rather than "Moderate" or "Strict"? I log on to matchmaking and it says my connection will be slow due to this, and it is. I have a Belkin router.

I guess it'll be great if you like that sort of thing. Personally if I'm in a virtual 3d environment I would rather shoot at other people than talk to them or show them my furniture. But it sounds cool enough that I will probably make an apartment etc.
Since there are already virtual 3d networking "spaces" for PC I imagine it will be popular. If it makes more people buy ps3's, more power to it. I doubt I'll spend much time on it though.
In particular nobody will look like what they look like in real life.

I keep getting this Error 33 message when i try to play online. I managed to get a game earlier today but then it packed up and ever since it has just been saying "Downloading game settings" for a while and then "Error Unable to connect to Activision Matchmaking (Error 33).

I'm confused i can't understand my husband?
In general,my husband is a good person inside,i know that,but some of his actions,made me asume the worst,even when things are fine.I'm a jealous person,and i'm starting to make our life hard by the daily struggle but i just can't help it.I've been married for two years,we have a beautiful 10 months old girl.He made several mistakes in the beginning of our marriage,and less but still until now.He has awandering eye,i started to notice that he treats me differently after he interacts with a beautiful girl,i caught him opening matchmaking sites,called a porn line when i was away,and lied about it,sneeked to a neighbours window cause they dress like horns,he always finds a strong excuse and he has a way in manipulating,but the majority time i feel his love for me in his eyes,i'm not stupid i can tell,he's a good father too,but when he does something like those i go back to wondering again,is he a good candidate as a cheater?Or he's just a normal guy?I wish i can explain more but no space

Eventually, i came around and realized what i had become and now our marriage is still intact after 16 yrs together. It also helped me/us when we became Christians. There are 3 things I think you should do(cause it sounds like you do love him and respect his and your daughters needs as parent/child) 1) tell him and show him how much you love him and want him in your life and every good quality you can. 2)Let him know about your concerns with his behavour and how it effects you--and maybe your daughter too one day --as non-judgementally as possible(it'll probably be tuff--but try to keep any anger under wraps) 3) Assuming he has not reacted poorly-but seems willing to work-let him know that you know you can't be perfect either, and you'd love to hear from him if he thinks you have any harmful habits that concern him(fair is fair as long as its not stuff like'you always drive slow' or 'you never want to watch sports). The last thing you have to do together. Be honest. Both decide if you're willing to put 100% into keeping this thing going. If you give each other that committment then stick to it--wether its couseling, talking to your pastor, reading and discussing books together--its a lifetime committment. Whatever you do don't stay together 'for the sake of the child'. That is the most unfair thing you could do to your daughter. And if it doesn't work out--please keep him as involved in her life as much as possible-and don't let her see any resentment you may feel. I'm someone thats been down this road--good father, gambler, cheater, well liked community member, we humans are complex creatures-one could be all of the above. Judgung him before all possibilities are worked and you making sure YOUR house is clean will only create distance. I wish you the best--good luck--and search your heart--don't settle for -or give- anything but the best. For you, for him and of course for your child.

How do you get the new maps for halo 2 if you are running an xbox 360?
I try to download them, and i hit 'purchase now' it just takes me back to the content download page and said 'you will not be charged for this transaction' but i have my credit card details saved in the dashboard and all... it just will not work... and now i cant play matchmaking without them... Help me =[ I can't play call of duty 4 on my ps3 between 7pm and 11pm. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I looked this up and it's something to do with cod4 being a p2p network (like limewire or whatever) which tiscali limits during peek times. But they've been limiting it to the point that it doesn't work at all, it just comes up as "unable to connect to matchmaking (error 33)". Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this as my dad has just signed up for another year of tiscali ='[. Also, if I can't fix it do you think something will be done about this problem? Not being able to play the best game ever when i want to really sucks.

Reply:It could be tiscali although COD4's servers have been very faultly lately. It has been a bit better since they had some minor fixes. There should be a full update that will fix everything so just be patient and see if there is a new patch that will fix your problem. Good luck!

we both were going on well, but due to some small reason we quarelled and didn't speak to each other for 3 months. Then i sent her an email telling asking sorry and to forget about the past. She asked me to talk to her parents for her and told that if they agree then she will get married to me. I did the same and even my mom spoke to her mother. Her mother did the match making and asked my GF that the matchmaking is average and what to do. At that time she said its ok and she is not interested in marriage for another 1 or 2 year and she didn't even supporte me. Later she told me that i didn't even bothered to talk to him for last 3 months and she doesn't have even 1 % feeling towards me. Is this true, do you people think that she will come back to me. She might have acted in anger or during some pressure. Please help me.

Sims 2 Phone Problem?
Recently, whenever I tried to get my Sims to call certain Services on the phone, they will either just not make the call, or they will make the call, talk for a moment, and then they suddenly just won't be on the phone anymore. It just skips past the part where the bubble comes up saying what the person on the other end says and what the options are. This happens with the maid, gardener, and adoption services. And I know the pet adoption and matchmaking services work as they should. This has only been a problem since I installed the Pets expansion pack, and I have reinstalled all the games since and the problem persists. Any advice anyone?

Is halo 2 better than halo 3??
imo i think halo 2 is a little better than halo 3. what do you guys think. in matchmaking you only get to play on about 3-4 maps. halo 2 had a lot more maps and they were better. i find myself playing on the same map over and over. and halo 2 seems like it took more skill but i dont know i dont feel like halo 3 is better than halo 2. also custom games on halo 3 are pretty gay now.

Charity Days in London February 2008?
Hi everyone, I weork in London and my work would like to do some chairty findraising days this year, we already take part in the London Better Together day but wanted to kick off the year soon so thought we'd participate in something in February.
Does anyone know of any fun charity days happeing then? The Valentines day walk is a fab idea but everyone here is married so a matchmaking event wouldn't work!

Halo 3 online dificulties?
Ok so everyone has been experiencing problems with halo 3 online for the past few days, but now everything has been cleared up and the servers are up and running again. Well for some reason everytime i choose matchmaking, it will find enough players, but will restart the search for no aparent reason, even though everything has been fixed. I have plugged my xbox 360 into two different routers and it still does the same thing, and i know its not my NAT settings. Does anyone have any clue as to what could be happening? Is anyone else still experiencing problems? Thanks for your help.

its a third - person duck and cover game with many cool weapons such as my favorite machine-gun/chainsaw or the shotgun also theres the grenades, the boomshot (rocket-launcher), sniper, two versions of a pistol, and the hammer of dawn. online play is the main attraction for me but the single player is just as good. you fight the locust horde. A group of underground dwelling vermin who deserve nothing but death with is the main point of the game besides saving the plaint and all mankind.

The Story is About Marcus Fenix, a COG soldier, and a group of other soldiers. It does not take place on Earth but another planet. You are fighting another race called the "Locust" who seem to be trying to wipe out humanity.
I think it's a great game personally!

ok so i have the headset (that comes with xbox360) that includes a microphone. i turn it on, make sure the volume is right up but when i talk in matchmaking, social slayer it doesnt seem that anyone hears me. also what is with the cross on the left of the player? does that mean that they cant talk? i really need help talking to people!! thankz in advance xxx

When talking with other people in the game, you have to press a direction on the D-pad to enable other players to hear you.
Steps:
1) Press a direction on the D-pad
2) Start talking
You don't have hold it down, just press a direction once and keep talking. Once you stop, people won't be able to hear you anymore. Just repeat steps 1,2 to start talking again.

In Halo 3. What is standbying??
I was in a matchmaking teamslayer, and was lagging the whole time.. i never played halo 2 so i just assumed this was normal lag. Then in my next game, my whole team was lagging all the way to like 1 red bar, and so was the other team. As soon as the lag died down a little bit for everyone, they had like a half full yellow bar, mine was still 1 red bar... Then my team started to get mad at me.. Saying they hated standbyers and would report me.. i tried to tell them i had no idea what they were talking about.. but they just said "dont play stupid with me!"

I Need NAT Router Help, NOW! Xbox 360!?
I have a Linksys WRT 54G wireless router. I recently go an Xbox 360 and plugged it in to Xbox Live wired. I used an ethernet cable and plugged it into the router port. It connects to Xbox Live and I can play matchmaking. However, I cant play any friends or anything on my friends list, and accept any game invites. It comes up with a message saying NAT type set to strict, and set it to open.
Basically, I have tried one thing that said it would work, which is going to Administrator and enabling UPnp. Which I did, and it still doesnt work.
This is getting really frustrating, and I hope you can help. Thanks so much guys.

I just got it, and updated, but the thing is...why can't I get like matchmaking like halo?

Only Halo 2 Pros!!!...how can i get more kills in Hardcore?
i am a 34 in ts, 33 in dt, 30 in hc
for some reason my lil cousin always gets way more kills than me in hardcore or double team.....we both are equally the same in the skill level but when playing matchmaking its as if he is always in the right place at the right time to kill his opponents....
he gets 36 kills and i get 22 kills in hc....in dt he gets 19 kills and i get 11 kills...this is just an average... what might he do that i dont do....i asked him this question but he says he just goes out and kills his oppenents...he says he doesn't have a certain way of doing it....

you can play the maps solo and find the best spots
make sure you are good at long and close range
carry plasma grenades to stick people and always have a good long range wep and close range wep
(shotgun, sniper rifle)
know all the maps and sniper spots in them
the close range weapon is in case someone gets close to you
if there are strong vehicles have a rocket launcher instead of shotgun so you can destroy the vehicle
if you know a good spot you can see everything and kill everybody

Why won't it let me play?
I just created an X-box live 1 month free silver membership, as i wanted to try out the online style of play before i buy the gold membership, after going through the account creation, I was thought I was finally able to play online on the game Halo 3, but as i entered matchmaking, it would not let me start the game, it kept telling me that I need an X-Box live account in order to play, even though i was already logged on one, can anyone tell me what i did wrong in the account creation, or is there something i still need to do in order to play?

Call of Duty 4 for the PS3 Multiplayer?
I just got it, and updated, but the thing is...why can't I get like matchmaking like halo?
All I do is sit there forever...
I'm on Day 3 in the regular game, but any FPS I get, I usually go straight to multiplayer just to get a "feel" for the game.
I'm on the internet with the PS3...Just wondering why it's taking so long. Can only my friends play or something? If so, how can I change this?

You don't go straight to a lobby when you first sign on. You have to select a type of game whether it be DM or CTF or TDM before you will see other players in a lobby.

I just created a free 1 month trial of x-box live, after going through all the details, I tried to play online on the game Halo 3.
But as I entered matchmaking, it would not let me play, It kept telling me that I need to be signed onto an X-Box live account in order to play, even though I already was. Is there something I did not do right in the account creation? is there anything else I need to do in order to play?

How to be the best at Halo 3?
It would be really cool if people out there that play halo 3 would give me some usefull tips on how to better myself in matchmaking..... notice i said helpfull. that means i dont want someone who doesnt know what there talking about to answer and say " Well i imagine that you would want to not get shot." or " My best opinon is to hide and sneek up on someone."
So please only answer if you know the game and do have helpful sugestions.

Like the first answer, always practice.
Also, remember, the biggere the gun, the better, so always be on the lookout for the best guns.
Grenades are your friend. Even if you are not that great at grenade throwing, find special grenades that will help you. IF you find yourself outnumbered, grenades will most likely help you get out, because people will back away from you if they see a grenade thrown because they do not want to get blown up.
Also, I do not recommend dismounted turrets for people who aren't that great. Leave the turrets to the more experienced players. This is because more experienced players are more alert than the less experienced people, so they are more aware where and when they need to hit, since the turret slows you down so much.
Depending on what match type you like to play, play unranked games of that match as practice until you think you are good enough to go into ranked matches.
Reply:well if your fighting someone with a bigger weapon then you get 2 smgs or get a spartan laser but it takes to long to load if you really want to destroy your enemie get a rocket launcher that helps and the you jump and shoot at your enemie cause it can kill you if your too close but then you could get long range and get a covent beam rifle or sniper rifle but then i like using the needler that helps if sticks your enemie and blows up good luck killing

beat the game on legendary by yourself, that should improve your game play
Reply:All you have to do is get use to using different weapons and know the levels. Then just try to take out all you can, you will eventualy get good without knowing.
Reply:uhmm well if someone starts shooting you first its wise to jump and crouch making you a smaller target and will sometimes make you the victor of the battle...throw a frag garnade and then one shot to the head with the battle rifle is good....sliding quickly side to side so the oppenet misses you
the rest is pretty much being a good shot and having good vision
Reply:I don't play much Halo 3, but be careful when you jump and where you jump, it can help you get away or just make you a sitting duck as you come back down. You can be very easy to pick off in the fall and as you land.

When will the halo 2 ranks be reset?
They were supposed to be reset yesterday but from playing today and yesterday they haven't yet been reset and I heard they are supposed to be entering those new maps in matchmaking which game scenarios will they be entered in team slayer, rumble pit, etc.

my bad i just read on http://www.bungie.net/ that it is supposed to be reset a couple of days ago but they stopped it because they have problems that hey need to investigate and fix some of the Xbox Live download problems that people have been reporting.

As you get to know one another better, be sure and discuss both of your Life Dreams, values, and goals. When you first meet someone online, I would definitely stear clear of asking anything too personal that may embarass her especially if she is shy, and I would not bring up anything at all pertaining to sex. That is fine to discuss later on if you choose to pursue a relationship, but bringing it up initially will send warning signals about your intentions......

My teacher has written on my essay "Emma does not learn from her matchmaking Mr Elton and Harriet and continues to give Harriet ideas above her station - write about Frank Churchill and Mr Knightley confusion.

I'm 16 and i have no guy friends AT ALL most probably because i don't go to church ( don't ask me to go) and I am studying in an all-girls school. I live alone and I feel like having a boyfriend to care for me. can u please give me as many ideas as possible? You should enjoy times with the girls at your school. I'm not saying go lesbian, I'm just saying that you can have a close relationship with another girl without being sexually active. Those friendships will last your lifetime.
If you still want a boyfriend then find something you like to do, I'm not sure how church has anything to do with it, but it's the same concept. People gathering on common ground. It is a great way to meet people although I don't think God would want us considering church a meat market.
Find a local hangout (barns and noble) and see who shows up. Oh and if you really, really want a boyfriend then you're going to have to step out of your shell!! Match.com

But you're prime fodder for a male con artist; one of those who'll take you for everything you've got. Be careful.

I felt the same way when I was 16. I finally let go of wanting a boyfriend. Instead of focusing on how I didn't have a guy in my life, I wrote a list of the qualities I thought I would like in my future husband.... Things like thoughtful, gentle, and silly things like, tall, light brown hair, blue eyes, musician... Two years later I met him and we've been married for seven years!

Im going to this church youth group today and they are there for a reason im soon realizing they are there for people that want to live there life the right way no drugs alcohol nothng just feelings and a clear mind that is your best bet i think im goin tonight to try it out wish me luck

I'd like to see a search engine that will search concepts, not just words. So, if I needed to know something about biochemical reactions, and there was a really great website that didn't actually say the words "biochemical reactions" it would still come up in my search.

There is alot of ways to play multiplayer ....it sometimes gets confusing......TO do a multiplayer game you go to the custom games lobby which is on the main menu......custom games can be played with live friends and ppl who are at your house with you on your 360....
Forge is very interesting but funn.....you can modify the map and move things and place things on it....such and vehicles weapons and obbjects....you can play a multiplayer game on this map its pretty fun ...cuz you can buy any weapon in the game......
matchmaking is for ranked matches and raked matches get you exeperince pooints and acheivements. there are differnct types of ranked matches such as team slayer and big team battle........
To play matchmaking you have to choose it on the main menu it will say matchimaking.....

OH and one more thing ...it takes forever to get in a matchmaking game 2 to 5 mins

How can I on halo 3, start a match with people I don't know and still have weapons in the game. Like if you go into matchmaking, you're stuck with the same weapon throughout the game. But I want to play against people online, invite a friend, and use different weapons. How can do that?

From there, you can become the party leader, change map, game, and weapons. Anyone who sees you online can easily join as long as you have an open invite

How do I open my NAT for Xbox Live?
It says my NAT is moderate or strict when I enter matchmaking in halo 3. I have a linksys router, the basic blue one (192.168.1.1)

XBOX/Halo 3 question?
ok it has to deal with xbox live really. Now ive playing online now for quite some time without running into problems. As most know Halo3 released today and ive been trying to play online but whenever i get into matchmaking or online co op with more than 3 people i get disconnected from xbox live.
Now that i think about it ive ran into the same problem with halo2
i play gears of war call of duty 3 and so on without any problems but halo just wont cooperate
ive been searching for solutions but can't seem to find any help

Hey guys I just got Xbox Live and hooked it up, my email however states that I am 17, thus I needed a parent email,which is my mothers.
Anyway I just got Halo 3 and when I went into matchmaking I realised that I couldn't hear anyone talking on their microphones (Instead of the speaker icon there is a crossed-out icon, the microphone is not the problem I made sure of this), and I figured this is to do with the family settings. How do I fix this so I can hear any player?
Note: This is not going against my parent's wishes, they don't care who I talk to/meet on XBlive.
