Xbox 360 help ?

My halo 3 cd works fine when i play in matchmaking but when i play on campaign and i see a little film clip it says disc is unreadable and when im trying to load up a mission it does not load to a hundred it just goes up to 20% and then goes back down, also i checked my cd and it had some small scratches on it and i have never touched the cds surface so i think its my xbox 360. what do you think is the problem should i change the game or my xbox 360

Reply:If it said "Disc is unreadable" then its most likely isolated to the Halo 3 disc. My dear friend, the X360 is notorious for scratching discs (see source) and unfortunately, Microsoft does not have any way of rectifying this on already sold consoles.





However, if you've started seeing the "To play this disc, put it in an XBox 360 console" message, chances are your disc drive is dying. One fine day, it will completely stop working and keep throwing the same message for every damn disc that you have. If you are covered by the regular 1 year warranty period, you can get your unit replaced (takes anywhere from 2 weeks to a month's time for the replacement to happen, depending on where you are).
