When playing halo 3 through my laptops wireless connection I recieve the message "NAT type set to strict". My router has been set to "open" since day one and I've refreshed that setting several times.
This leads me to believe my laptop is causing my NAT type to be strict. Can anyone tell me if this is true, and how to change this if it is?
This is an EXTREMELY annoying problem seeing as a bought a new router to resolve this issue and its still not helping. Also, I'm unable to connect to ANYONE over matchmaking and only when i have a friend as a party leader can I play.
Please help!!

How do you change Laptop NAT type?
You need the required incoming ports forwarded to your machine's IP address, it is safer to set a fixed address on the machine, otherwise it may be allocated a different address from the dhcp, this can stop the forward. Use an address 3 or 4 numbers higher than the router's top dhcp pool address. You also need to open the exceptions for the correct ports in your firewall.
Reply:Try to connect your laptop to the router directly instead of using wireless to eliminate the NAT and see this solve the problem.
