I need legal help with Elite Personal Search?

I have tried everything I can think of to get my money back from this "matchmaking" agency. They have not responded AT ALL! I was completely misled and scammed into paying thousands of dollars! Are there any attorneys who can advice me what to do now?

I need legal help with Elite Personal Search?
If one of your local TV stations has an consumer investigative team, call them (or call all of them) and see if you can get them to perform a sting.

Contact the BBB and see if others have fallen victim, if yes, see if you can get names, maybe you all can file a big lawsuit.

Contact your state attorney general and file a formal complaint.

Sue them in small claims court to try and recover your money.

I will bet if you pull your contract out you will find that it will be nearly impossible to recover your cash.

But do what you can to make a bad name for them and get them stopped.

EDIT,I just did a quick google search and this was the SECOND entry

Reply:thank-you all! I am going I have already used some of the suggestions above, but will now try some of your other suggestions! You all rock! You can read my story by putting "elite personal search" in quotes. It will come up on the first page! THANKS Report It

Reply:You won't get a refund, period. You need to sue them criminally. They video monitor your matchmaking meeting. In California, that is illegal, unless all parties are aware of it. They don't have any signs posted. Did they tell you about it? Report It

Reply:Elite contacted a girlfriend of mine today saying that it costs her nothing to use there services. So I gather from your posting that is a trick? Can you elaborate what happened to you? Thanks
Reply:I had a situation similar to yours where I paid for a servicebut was constantly given the run around for 2 months. The bad part was it was only for $36, but it was my money and since it was not delivered to the correct address I wanted a refund.

Excuses:

Owner/Manager on vacation

The person that can give the refund is not here

We have to mail to corporate for approval

We need to figure out how this can work, can you come back

This went on from June till September 07. I originally was not going to get my provider law firm involved but after being blown off so many times I had no choice. Shortly after I calledand explained what happened they said they take care of it and was I surprised. Two days later I called, the lady was respectful, knew who I was and told me tocome right in and handed me my refund. My Pre- Paid Legal service paid for itself and saved me from the aggrevation of losing valuable time from work. I can let you kow the Provider Law service in your area and the cost.
