My friend has Xbox Live. I dont have an Xbox but i go to his house like every weekend and usually most days in the summer. If i create an Xbox Live account and he's already got Gold can I just get Silver and still play matchmaking online?

no. silver is always freee but you need gold to play online. silver just gets you downloads and such, gold gets all of that plus online gaming. its a stupid system where microsoft gets money. and xboxlive aint what it use to be. i like it better on the original xbox.
